About Monkfrith
Our Vision
Monkfrith fosters a safe, caring environment where every child thrives. We promote academic excellence, a love of learning, and a broad, balanced curriculum. Our children are resilient, respectful, and articulate. We support our teachers and work in partnership with families to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
Academic
At Monkfrith, our academic performance is consistently strong. This is the result of high-quality teaching, an engaging and ambitious curriculum, enthusiastic and motivated children, and the ongoing support of our families. Our pupils achieve well above national averages in reading, writing, and maths, and make excellent progress during their time with us. We are proud of our children’s achievements and work hard to ensure every child reaches their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

School Staff
We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of staff who work together to provide the best possible educational experience for our children.

Governors
The Governing Body at Monkfrith ensures that high standards are achieved and maintained throughout the school by acting as a critical and supportive ‘friend’. The body is made up of parents, members of staff and community representatives.
Policies
Our school policies cover all aspects of school life, ensuring a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment. Several key policies may be of particular interest to parents and carers. If you would like a paper copy of any of these documents, please contact the school office, and we will be happy to provide one.
Child Protection and Safeguarding
At Monkfrith safeguarding the welfare of our children is the highest priority.
All staff (and some Governors) attended Safeguarding and Child Protection in Education training in September 2024. Each week staff revisit an aspect of safeguarding in our weekly briefings to ensure that their knowledge of practices and procedures is refreshed.
Our Senior Leadership Team (including our Chair of Governors) have all attended Designated Teacher Training.
Our Safeguarding Team:
Jude Deasey – Headteacher, Designated Safeguarding Lead
Debi Whittington – Deputy Headteacher, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Caroline Sutton- Deputy Headteacher, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Lauren Cooper – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
